Welcome to my little blog!

I have a habit of latching onto a single idea, and extrapolating as much context as I can get around it. I love making historical connections that often would fade out of the normal historical narrative and showing how incredible history can be if seen from a slightly different and more personal angle.

I am excited by our past, and the stories and lessons it has to tell.  I want to share that excitement with you.

My interests are wide ranging and you should be able to find at least one topic that peaks your interest.

Also please feel free to let me know if there is a topic you want me to write about!

This is my first web page since I was in the seventh grade. It goes without saying, it is a work in progress.

This map, known as the “1507 Waldseemüller Map” is the first map in world history to identify the “New World” as “America.” It has come to be known as “America’s Birth Certificate.”

This ancient Greek vase painting shows a boy practicing his letters on a reusable clay tablet. To the modern eye it looks suspiciously like he is using a stylus on a touch screen laptop.
